essay 1: Police And Ah Long

The Royal Malaysian Police have publicly told the Ah Long that there is no need for them to hide as the Police know their identities. Eventually they could be found and it is better the Ah Long surrender or rather, report to the nearest police station.

Question 1: If the Police knew who the Ah Long were, why did not they just arrest them or place them under restricted residence or take whatever action deem fit ? The Police could have acted earlier, afterall they know them [from the Police own mouths]!

Question 2: If any member of the public know who these people are, or that if they know ‘criminals’ or any suspicious 'figures' in the neighbourhood, it is a known fact that for not reporting such figures to police is in a way, committing an offence, and the police can charge the person or persons for failing to act.

Question 3: Who can the Police or Attorney General charge for not reporting the identities of ‘Ah Long’ or suspected criminals to THE POLICE?

The days of Royal Malaysian Police are long gone since TDM 23 years tenure. Just like MACC replacing ACA, PBNM (Polis Barisan Nasional Malaysia) has replaced PDRM!! Reminder!! Only the name changes, everything else are same old same old.....hahaha.

After a long and persistent cry from the public, the police seem to take action to this extent. Ah Long abuse is not new to Malaysians. MC of MCA has been on the spot light, when he tries to handle such cases.
When the banks had been regularized, why can not the illegal money lending activities be controlled by proper licensing and implementing as our administrative system is quite efficient in this field.
The quality of life has been spoilt and damaged for many families, the trauma of being harassed by these fearless beast inflicted irreparable hurt to the young children of such institution. The parents have lost their self respect and were looked down by their own offspring.
The government should take necessary action to prevent such happenings.
The public should not stop making noise until there is a solution for this menace
